I was lucky this morning to spend some time sketching with Geldeston Master thatcher Nick Walker. I’ve not been many up many ladders recently so that was interesting as I climbed up onto the scaffolding around Pakefield church. Today Nick was adding the top ridge with its final layer of straw.
