Day 242, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge

Sea Swallow, Pakefield

Sitting in the shingle waiting to go fishing is the small boat Sea Swallow. This is one of the many boats on the beach at Pakefield that still occasionally fishes, most are covered with tarpaulins.

Broken eroded brick

All along the beach at Kessingland are eroded remnant of bricks. These are as a result of the coastal erosion as buildings have succumbed to the North Sea. This brick is a beautiful terracotta colour.

Hoglet sketches

There has been no sign of mum and these 3 hoglets are fending for themselves. Having spent most of this morning ringing round all the rescue centers we have decided that these 3 need a home where they can be cared for and have a chance for release later. So all 3 are now in a box with some hay water and a supply of meal worms. The 2 larger Hoglets have now devoured several meal worms each but the smaller Hoglet perhaps is not ready and needs mums milk, it is the small one which has been most vocal.
