Anyone who knows this part of the coast will be familiar with the Phragmites Reed. This one was from Potters Bridge near Southwold where it forms an extensive reedbed. At this time of year we have last years seed heads.

Looking west from Potters bridge across the reedbeds. As always there are Marsh harriers a plenty quartering them.

The winter storms have revealed some WW2 defenses. There ate 4 dragons teeth that jut out into the sea at low tide and some metal structure of which this bracket was once part of, very rusty and parts are covered in shells.
