Rotting boat Slaughden
This old wooden boat has been floating on the rivers edge slowly rotting for many years. Such a pity to see it slowly decay but also interesting as an artist. It was once a beautiful and blue and cream.

From Dog Rose (Rosa canina), the hegerows around Gisleham are full of them. The will be an excellent food source for many birds when this weather finally turns cold.
Southwold Harbour
Viewed from the marshes towards the Harbour at Southwold. In the distance is Walberswick church.
Created by gravel extraction for the WWII pill boxes of the area, the shape and form of this body of water has changed over the years due to the constant erosion of the coastline. It did used to be pits but the one nearest the sea filled in and now is barely even noticeable. This is from the southern end looking towards the pumping station for the River Hundreds. In the distance there were 5 Little Grebes.
A walk from Tinker’s wood close to Walberswick along the shore of the River Blyth to Blythburgh. Normally at this time of year I would have expected to find some excellent fungi which I hope to draw soon but with the fine weather which continues there is none. But the river looks superb on this sunny day with expansive mudflats at low tide, in the distance gulls, Shellduck, Redshank and Curlew who’s haunting calls echo to the shore.
