Day 122, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge

Day 122 of 366, one third the way through the year. A chance today to go to the Sainsbury Centre for visual arts in Norwich to see two exhibitions. The first a fantastic exhibition by photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, 83 magnificent images captured between 1929 and 1985 of Paris, the second a wonderful exhibition of works by Alberto Giacometti and works by artists influenced by him. Alberto Giacometti was one of the giants of twentieth century art, celebrated as a sculptor, painter and draughtsman. The exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death. http://scva.ac.uk/art-and-artists/exhibitions

This is a sketch of one of his most famous sculptures titled “Man crossing a square” a bronze from 1949.
