I have a garden full of Blackbirds that all winter have been feeding on old apples.

Sun breaking through the clouds on a slightly warmer day, although still seasonally cold. Down on Southwold beach between Southwold Pier and North Parade kiosk.

Today I revisited the Pier heads in Lowestoft. Last time I was here it was to see off the the fishing trawler Deodar Brixham as she left these shores to sail back to Sweden after her round Britain tour in the Summer. Deodar was built in Brixham in 1911 and fished out of Lowestoft between 1911-1937 as part of the once large Herring fleet. http://www.deodar.se/

Echalian shallots or Banana shallots bought for dinner but firstly for my sketch.

Spring flowers are starting to fill the hedgerows, this sketch is of Green Alkanet found in Sotterley, Suffolk. It has beautiful lilac/blue flowers.
