So here I am exactly half way through this drawing challenge. Once windmills like Saxstead were numerous and a common sight milling grain for the local community but over time numbers decreased with the advent of steam. Saxstead Green post mill is still currently being restored.
Whilst at Manor farm Hickling on our farm tour we came across David out in the meadows setting mole traps. An old countryman from West Suffolk. A lovely old chap and another unusual activity out in the farms.
