Many thanks to BBC look East today it was great to be joined by you on my sketch a day today by Mike Liggins. So today again at RSPB Minsmere standing on Whin Hill looking across the Reedbeds and Island Mere. This is a link to an online Look East post, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03plpwv Later live on […]
A sketch from Minsmere, island Mere looking towards Sizewell across the mere. Hunting over the reedbeds the usual Marsh Harriers and today a single Otter which spent much of it’s time fishing with a visit to the waters edge close to the Hide.
The pool beside the hide at Island Mere, RSPB Minsmere. The wind kept rippling the water and kept the Bearded Reedlings and Reed Buntings deep in the reeds. Over the reeds Marsh Harriers were constantly quartering.
Cold dull morning spent at Minsmere in Island Mere hide. Saldy no Otters turn out to play which is what I would have really liked to sketch. Still some nice Firecrests were in the Rhododendron bushes.
