Day 141, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge

Found all along our shingle beaches Crambe Maritima (Sea Kale). When the leaves first broke through some weeks ago they were a fantastic purple. Day 134, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge

Found whilst walking back from Pakefield to Kessingland stranded and unfortunately dead was this Lesser Pipefish (Syngnathus rostellatus). About 10cm in size an olive green back with pale silvery underside. Pipe fish are not a type of Seahorse but do belong to the taxonomic family.
